Ivy Griffin
LMFT, CAMFT Certified Supervisor, Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, Owner & Director of Thrive Therapy & Counseling, highly sensitive person (hsp)
I spent so many years doubting, questioning, and blaming myself for my sensitive needs. I didn’t know that I had a personality trait that is usually undervalued and misunderstood in western cultures. Instead, I blamed myself.
I thought I was broken.
After a long journey over a few decades, I have a much better appreciation for this complex trait. I delved into learning about high sensitivity in my work as a mental health therapist, and now specialize with hsp clients as a highly trained HSP-knowledgeable therapist.
I’ve facilitated trainings for Redwood CAMFT, on YouTube, and for my team of therapists at Thrive. I have a background as a training facilitator at UC Davis, and I’m a CAMFT Certified Clinical Supervisor, a Certified Brainspotting practitioner, and the Owner and Director of Thrive Therapy & Counseling. I provide clinical supervision, training, and mentorship to my team of therapists at Thrive with a focus on honoring our sensitivities and supporting our clients with theirs.
I’m passionate about helping sensitive souls find acceptance, compassion, joy, strength, and community in who we are.
